Who will replace Georgie Gardner on the ‘Today Show’?
Channel Nine journalist Sylvia Jeffreys will replace departing longtime newsreader Georgie Gardner on the Today Show, the show revealed this morning.
The popular Gardner, who has been on the show for seven years, announced in late May that she would be leaving the program to take on a “broader role” at Nine and spend more time with her young children.

The lower-profile Jeffreys is an established television news reporter who kicked her career off with a stint at Channel Nine in Brisbane and is now based in Sydney.
With nearly 15,000 followers on Twitter and more than 10,000 on Instagram, Jeffreys already has a large following and her appointment has been met with widespread approval.
