Three people have been injured in a 15-car pile-up on Melbourne’s West Gate Freeway.

Three cars initially collided on the freeway between Millers and Williamstown roads on Sunday afternoon but, in wet conditions, 12 more vehicles crashed at the scene, police said.

Three people were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
