Two people have been found dead inside a house in the Melbourne suburb of Moonee Ponds.

Police were called to the Darling Street property just before 11.30pm on Sunday and are speaking to a 44-year-old Meadow Heights man regarding the incident.

Police found the man at the house. He’s been treated for non-life threatening injuries.

It’s believed three young children were inside the house at the time of the incident but were unharmed.

The Homicide squad are currently at the scene as investigations continue.
