Confused boy, 4, scores try in NRL Legends match
When a little kid wandered onto the field in the middle of rugby league game, spectators would not have expected him to join in the play.
But that’s exactly what happened in Toowoomba earlier this month when four-year-old Laiken Kearns lost his mum and landed in the middle of a ‘Legends of League’ State of Origin match that featured some ex-NRL heavyweights.

Former NRL legend David Peachey passed Laiken the ball and the little tacker took off down the pitch while former Panthers captain Petero Civoniceva and former Raiders hooker Shaun Berrigan attempted to ‘tackle’ the pre-schooler.
And in the ultimate show of sportsmanship, Queenslander Robbie O’Davis helped Laiken score a try for the Blues.
