Stray dogs flock to funeral of woman who fed them
A pack of stray dogs have turned up to the funeral of a kind Mexican woman who fed them, apparently to pay their respects.
Margarita Suarez from Merida, Yucatan, would feed up to 20 stray dogs and cats that came to her house every morning, reports Misiones Online, and even brought a bag of food on her outings for any other strays she saw.
Family members of the animal lover, who died earlier this month after battling an illness, were stunned when a pack of dogs suddenly appeared at the funeral parlour where her body was being kept.

Staff at the funeral home said they had never seen the animals before, but allowed the forlorn pups inside once they realised they were there to pay their respects to Margarita.
On the day of the March 15 funeral the pups formed a procession behind the hearse and then returned to the funeral home, only leaving after her body was being prepared for cremation.
According to the report, Margarita’s daughter Patricia Urrutia believed the animals wanted to say goodbye to their dear comrade.
