It’s about time someone called out the advertising industry for their reliance on clichés. Stock video company Dissolve has created the ultimate send-up video by combining every single marketing device into one slick, cynical masterpiece.
The ad, called This is a Generic Brand Video, examines every stereotype ever used, from the “ethnic old man” to the compulsory clips of people doing stuff in lab coats or sped-up footage of cities and traffic.
Our favourite line is “Did we put a baby in here?”
