Police hunting a brazen killer who allegedly shot dead a 27-year-old woman on a Queensland street have released images of a vehicle.
The victim has been identified in local media as Kara Jane Weribone.
She was found on a footpath in Toowoomba, west of Brisbane, with grave gunshot wounds on Wednesday afternoon and later died in hospital.
The shooting happened near a Catholic primary school close to pick-up time, said police.
Operation Xray Meg detectives have spoken with three people who were present at the scene.
Police also want help identifying the occupants of a 2004 white Toyota Camry which was located on Gladstone Street, North Toowoomba, shortly after the incident.

They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam or was in the vicinity of Christmas Street, West Street or Gladstone Street at that time.
One Christmas Street resident told the Toowoomba Chronicle she heard a single gunshot followed by a man screaming.
“Just full on screaming,” she said.
“They fired a shot and drove off in a white Camry.
“In less than a minute there were police everywhere, ambulances everywhere.
“We were still outside while the police took our details, then the police searched our backyard.
“No one was allowed to go or come in, it was very serious.”
Police locked down surrounding streets after the attack and residents were ordered to stay indoors.
Acting Inspector Brian Collins said the alleged murder near the Holy Name Catholic Primary School was “extremely alarming”.
“We’re talking about early afternoon, about school pick-up time … and the police response in ascertaining what happened will be swift,” Collins said.

Police locked down streets near the shooting in North Toowoomba.
“Our thoughts go out to the family – it’s devastating for a person to lose their life in such a way,” Collins said.
A middle-aged man also suffered serious injuries and a second man was treated for emotional distress.
Anyone who has any information that may be able to assist the investigation is asked to contact police.
