NSW Police have released disturbing footage and images of a man sought over a series of break and enters, showing him creeping through a family home in the dead of night.
The video shows a man, believed to be in his 20s, on the upstairs level of one of the homes.
He appears to hold a large screwdriver, and stops outside one of the rooms before moving on.
“It’s alleged the homes were broken into when the occupants were present,” NSW Police said on Wednesday.
Residents inside were not woken or injured. They realised there had been a robbery only once they awoke the next day.

The man is sought over five alleged break-and-enters across Sydney’s north-west, including three on one night:

- Murrung Way, Castle Hill, on Sunday, October 20, at 1.45am
- Purchase Road, Cherrybrook, on Sunday, October 20, at 3am
Police said cars had been stolen from all of the homes, except the house in Epping.
They are appealing for information to identify the mystery man.
He is described as having a medium build and dark complexion. He has a tattoo on his left lower leg and was wearing a partial face covering a black hooded jumper, grey gloves, grey trackpants and grey shorts and dark and light-coloured sneakers.
Anyone who may be able to identify the man is urged to contact Gordon Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
