A woman has been taken to hospital after she was stabbed in the head, reportedly with a screwdriver, at Sydney’s Bondi Beach.

NSW Police were called to Roscoe Street after reports of a stabbing just after 11am on Friday.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 36-year-old woman for a head injury. She was then taken to hospital in a stable condition.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the incident is underway.

Roscoe Street is in the heart of Bondi, connecting to a path that leads to Bondi Beach Park and the waterfront, which are only blocks away.

Police have urged anyone with information, CCTV footage or dashcam vision in relation to the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
