Man, 75, charged with 21 child sex offences

A 75-year-old man is due to face court charged with 21 historical child sexual offences in the NSW Hunter region.

Police will allege the man sexually and indecently assaulted a girl he knew multiple times between 2010 and 2015.

The man was arrested at a rural property in Fernances Crossing, southwest of Cessnock, on Wednesday.

He has been charged with multiple child sexual offences including sexual intercourse with a person under 10, commit act of indecency with a victim under 10, and use child under 14 to make child abuse material.

The man is due to face the Cessnock Local Court later on Thursday.
