Powerful protest
New Zealand Parliament was suspended after a group of Māori MPs performed a haka in protest over a contentious bill, led by Hauraki Waikato MP Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke, who physically tore up the bill.
The bill would re-interpret a 184-year-old treaty between the British Crown and more than 500 Māori chiefs.
