Man dies while snorkelling at suburban beach

A man has died while snorkelling at Altona Beach in Melbourne’s southwest.
Emergency services were called to the beach following reports a man was missing in waters off the beach just after 4pm on Tuesday.
A search was commenced but police said the man, who is yet to be formally identified, was found dead at the scene.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
