Extraordinary footage has emerged of a Russian woman testing a protective military suit strolling unscathed through a series of flames and explosions.
The video of the woman wearing protective armour was shared on Facebook by Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister and head of defence industry, Dmitry Rogozin.
Mr Rogozin described the woman as “The Terminator”.

The suit is reportedly being developed for the Russian military. Judging by the video, it is a pretty robust acquisition.
Watch the remarkable video:
The video begins with the unnamed woman dressed in the white boiler suit and black balaclava setting off briskly through the field.
She is soon hit by a ferocious volley of explosions and outbursts of fire.
Some of the explosions take place right at her feet while walls of fire prove no obstacle.
When she gets to the end of the course, the once-white suit emerges a much darker black hue thanks to the explosions and fire.

The woman pulls off what looks to be a series of balaclavas, and a man holding a bunch of roses enters the frame.
Before he arrives by her side, the woman manages a flick of the hair and a confident smile to viewers.
He hands her the bunch of roses and the women briefly salutes the camera and walks out of frame.
Mr Rogozin wrote on Facebook it was a shame the Terminator suit she was wearing was a “pitiful semblance” to the woman inside of it.
The suit was developed by the Central Research Institute of Precision Machine Building for Russian Armed Forces.
Because the woman seemed unaffected by concussive force, the explosions were likely not standard army issue. The deputy prime minister confirmed the test was “non-lethal”.
