Queensland police have found a taser that went missing after an absent-minded officer put it on the roof of a patrol car and drove off.
They say the weapon was recovered on Tuesday but not where.
The taser was lost on Monday afternoon when an officer leaving a Woodridge house, south of Brisbane, drove off while it was still on the roof of his patrol car.

Officers returned to the scene and found the case but the taser and cartridges were missing.
Commissioner Ian Stewart earlier downplayed the embarrassment, saying “it happens”.
“From time to time we lose kit,” he said, adding that it was a potentially deadly weapon that shouldn’t be handled by members of the public.
It’s the second time this year a police weapon has been lost in the Logan suburb of Woodridge, with a handgun dislodged from an officer’s holster in June.
The Glock was used in a crime in which people were threatened. Five people faced court over handling the gun.
The ABC also obtained information under Right to Information legislation in May that showed 39 items were lost last year. Of those, 14 were recovered including two firearms.
