‘No suggestions’ of early election
Deputy Liberal leader Julie Bishop has said she anticipates an election towards the end of 2016, dismissing suggestions from the Labor Party.
Ms Bishop does not expect Malcolm Turnbull to call a March 19 election – the date opposition frontbencher Anthony Albanese is tipping.

“Prime Minister Turnbull has said he expects the government to run its full term and so I have no suggestions otherwise,” she told the Nine Network on Monday.
Also speaking to the Nine Network, Mr Albanese claimed last week that the government would call an early election.
He said that they would do so to avoid delivering another budget.
Mr Albanese also insisted that Bill Shorten will lead Labor to the election – whenever it might be.
He feels that Mr Shorten’s poor results in recent opinion polls are simply because a change of leadership in the Liberal Party.
