The father of a two-year-old girl who was found dead at a Mildura home on Tuesday says he is devastated and numb at the loss of his “little angel”.

Local residents and members of the SES (State Emergency Service) helped search for the girl who was later found dead in the home.
“I don’t know what happened. I don’t know where she was, where she was found. I don’t know too much,” Mr Coslovich said.
He described her as a bubbly little girl.
“She’d pretty much light up the room by walking into it and smiling,” he said.
“If anyone felt sad, they were able to come over pretty much and get a cuddle and feel like the world was OK again.”
Nikki was last seen by her mother around 11:00am on Tuesday and police were called around 3:15pm.

She was found dead around 6:00pm.
Victoria Police Inspector Rebecca Olsen refused to comment on reports that the child was found in a roof cavity.
She said the death was being treated as suspicious and they were waiting for autopsy results.
Inspector Olsen described it as a “complex” investigation.
“We’re unsure what the cause of the death is at this stage,” she said.
“The mother and her partner have been assisting us with our inquiries.
“There’s a number of other people that are also assisting police with their inquiries with numerous statements.”
Mr Coslovich said Nikki’s grandparents were also in shock and his emotions were all over the place.
“I know God’s taken an angel back but he didn’t have to take it from me,” Mr Coslovich said.
“I know her Nan and Pop are walking around like ghosts.
“Like it all hit me like a steam train. I’ll break down, cry it out and then I’ll just go numb.
“Right now I’m numb so I’m not feeling too much at the moment.”
The three other siblings are being cared for by relatives.
