No case for Liberal rebellion, says Rupert Murdoch
Vocal media mogul Rupert Murdoch has turned to Twitter again to comment on the state of Tony Abbott’s fragile position as Prime Minister.
The News Corporation boss says Mr Abbott is “not perfect” but shouldn’t lose his job.

The PM faces a Liberal leadership spill motion at a party room meeting in Canberra on Monday.
“Abbott, good guy, not perfect but no case for rebellion,” Mr Murdoch tweeted on Sunday.
“Remember last one gave us Gillard disaster. Country still paying for it.”

In a short press conference on Sunday morning, in which he took no questions, Mr Abbott announced that he is bringing forward this week’s Liberal party room meeting, from Tuesday to Monday, in a bid to resolve the Liberal leadership crisis.
“The last thing Australia needs right now is instability and uncertainty,” Mr Abbott said.
“On reflection and after talking to my colleagues, I’ve decided that the best thing we can do is deal with the spill motion as quickly as possible and put it behind us.”
Meanwhile, Malcolm Turnbull’s supporters expect him to contest a ballot for the Liberal Party’s leadership if a planned spill motion is carried.
