Sydney siege hostage’s ‘six-figure’ interview
One of the hostages at the centre of the Sydney siege has reportedly offered to sell her story for a six-figure sum and will feature in a television interview to be aired next month.
Westpac executive Marcia Mikhael was one of the last hostages to be rescued from the Martin Place Lindt Cafe siege in December, and was shot in the leg by gunman Man Haron Monis.

According to a report by The Australian, Ms Mikhael’s lawyer offered the newspaper an interview with the banker, but said they would be ‘insulted’ by a figure of $10,000.
“It’s got to be a win-win business transaction … so when I say I don’t want to be insulted, I’m saying I don’t want a figure of $10,000 — that’s not going to cut it at all,” lawyer Jason Arraj said.
Mr Arraj reportedly said the funds would benefit a foundation set up by Ms Mikhael instead of benefitting herself.
The foundation is yet to be established.
“We haven’t come up with precisely what the foundation is and what it represents,” Mr Arraj said.
“It’s not something we want to go into on a wing and a prayer. We’re trying to give it the consideration it deserves.”
Thursday marks exactly one month since the 16-hour standoff which lead to the death of lawyer and mother of three Katrina Dawson and Lindt Cafe manager Tori Johnson.
