Labor still ahead in Vic polls
The Coalition government looks set for a thrashing in the upcoming Victorian election, with Labor maintaining its popularity in the polls.
According to the latest Galaxy poll, the Labor Party leads on a two-party-preferred basis, 52 per cent to 48 per cent.

This is the third consecutive month the Coalition has trailed in the polls, with the Victorian election only eight days away.
Labor has also gained ground in the primary vote, rising one point to 39 per cent.
The government’s primary vote remained at 40 per cent.
Premier Denis Napthine is still preferred leader with 42 per cent of voters, but Opposition Leader Daniel Andrews has experienced a growth in popularity.
Mr Andrews has experienced a three per cent increase in his preferred-leader ratings in the past three weeks, from 27 per cent to 30 per cent.
The Greens’s primary vote remained at 13 per cent.
