Spanish nurse beats Ebola
A Spanish nurse infected with the Ebola virus appears to have beaten the disease, with initial tests showing she is now clear of all traces of the virus.
A statement from Carlos III hospital in Madrid said Teresa Romero appeared to be free from Ebola after being the first person to contract the disease outside of West Africa.

A second test will be conducted in coming hours to absolutely confirm the 44-year-old’s recovery, but she will soon be able to leave hospital after being in quarantine in Madrid since October 6.
Ms Romero treated two patients who died of Ebola after contracting the disease in Liberia.
Health authorities quarantined Romero’s husband and euthanised Romero’s pet dog, named Excalibur, on October 8 instead of placing it in quarantine, creating outrage among animal rights activists.
Spain, meanwhile, has agreed to allow the US to use two military bases in the southwest of the country to support its efforts to combat the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.
