Australia’s worst airlines, airports revealed
Australia’s worst flight routes have been revealed, with travellers flying into Brisbane and out of Melbourne the most likely to be delayed.
Perth is the country’s most reliable airport, with 88.2 per cent of departures leaving on time, according to a Perth Now report.

The latest on-time performance data shows Melbourne Airport struggles with departures, with an average of 40 flights a day, or 18.2 per cent, leaving at least 15 minutes behind schedule.
Sydney Airport, the country’s busiest, fares quite well, with 84.1 per cent of flights leaving on time, and 82.5 per cent of arrivals on time.
Travellers landing in Brisbane were also the most likely to be delayed, with 44 flights a day arriving late.
Australia’s best and worst airlines have also been revealed, with Qantas proving to be the most reliable as 87 per cent of its flights arriving or taking-off on time.
Tigerair proved to be the least reliable, with one in four flights, or 28.9 per cent, running late.
Airservices Australia, the organisation in charge of coordinating airway traffic flow, said they were working with airports to increase capacity.
