Cinema merges with real life in inspired photos

Everyday settings are a canvas for the imagination of French photographer Francois Dourlen.

Merging still images with real life, he brings cartoon characters, celebrities and everyday objects to life, posting the images to Instagram.

A bucket isn’t just a bucket, neither is a ferris wheel just a carnival attraction, in Mr Dourlen’s mind, rather the bucket is a minion and the latter an exercise wheel for a mouse.

Dinner with Game of Thrones characters, preparing food with Edward Scissorhands and hanging out at the aquarium with Crush from Finding Nemo, anything is possible in the photographers mind.

With nearly 75,000 followers, the account, started just two-and-a-half years ago, has quickly gained online fame.

So Bad So Good reported the hobby has led to deals with Canal + for Caesars, Sony and Disney, while a touring deal in Europe and the US is also on the cards.

But for Dourlen, the hobby will remain a hobby, with several other projects and family life among his other priorities.

Check out some of his imaginative creations below.
