Communications giant Nokia has taken to Twitter to tease the development of a brand new product.

Along with the words “we’re up to something”, the company shared a photo of a sleek black box, which appears to be a set top box for television streaming.

Nokia also shared a date – “18.11.14” – suggesting they are set to release more information about the product soon.

If the device is in fact a set top box, it will provide stiff competition for other recent releases like Roku, Amazon Fire TV or Chromecast.

Nokia is currently undergoing a rebrand after a few setbacks, including the sale of its mobile brand to Microsoft.
