The Australian comedian has snapped up a brand new mansion in Los Angeles’ popular West Hollywood area, sealing the deal for well below the original asking price.
Wilson bought the five-bedroom, five-bathroom home for US$2.95 million (roughly AUD$3.9 million), nearly $250,000 under the original asking price of $3.195 million.
Built in 2015, the pastel-hued home boasts a wine room, a pool and spa, walk-in closets and a grand two-storey foyer.
This is Wilson’s second property splurge in the United States — in 2014 she purchased a four-bedroom home in the Hollywood Hills for US$2.2 million.
In 2015 Wilson also laid down roots in her hometown of Sydney with a AUD$3.76 million Victorian villa in the waterfront suburb of Birchgrove.
Wilson’s film career has been on an upward trajectory ever since her Hollywood debut in the 2012 comedy Bridesmaids as Brynn, the lead character’s lazy, idiotic roommate.
She is currently gearing up to start filming the recently announced a capella comedy Pitch Perfect 3, a surefire hit after the runaway success of the first two films.
