The Duchess of Sussex has earned her first Daytime Emmy nomination for her Netflix lifestyle show.
Meghan Markle, fresh from a visit to Britain on which she met her father-in-law the King for the first time in four years, was named in the outstanding lifestyle program category for With Love, Meghan when nominations were released on Tuesday (US time).
The show is competing against A Different Breed, George to the Rescue, The Motherhood and The Wizard of Paws.
Meghan’s show featured cooking, entertaining and gardening segments and included appearances by celebrities such as Chrissy Teigen and Mindy Kaling. There was even a cameo by husband Prince Harry.
The show aired for two seasons in 2025 and had a holiday special.
Meghan starred in the legal drama Suits from 2011 to 2018, before leaving to marry into Britain’s royal family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex quit as senior working royals in 2020. About the same time, they signed a contract reportedly worth more than $US100 million ($A143 million) with Netflix.
Meghan’s lifestyle brand As Ever announced in March that its Netflix partnership was over. A spokesperson said the brand was “now ready to stand on its own”.
With Love, Meghan‘s second season was Netflix’s 1124th most-watched show between July and December 2025, with two million views, according to data released by the streamer.
The royal couple signed a new first-look deal with Netflix last year, giving the streaming giant first option on projects by their Archewell Productions.
In May, it was announced the production company would produce a war film for the streaming giant based on an Afghanistan memoir.
US outlet Deadline said the film will tell the story of Easy Company, a unit of Paras and Royal Irish rangers tasked with holding a district in Helmand Province in July 2006. They came under attack from the Taliban.
The film, called No Way Out: The Searing True Story Of Men Under Siege, is based on the memoir by Major Adam Jowett, who led the unit.
Meghan’s Emmy nomination came just days after she and Harry are believed to have returned to their California home after an eventual return to Britain.
Last Friday, the couple met Harry’s estranged father at the King’s private Highgrove home, along with their children Archie and Lilibet. It was the first time the monarch had seen his grandchildren in nearly four years.
Earlier in the week, Harry lost his High Court claim, made with a group of celebrities, against the Daily Mail‘s publishers over alleged unlawful information gathering.
The prince was also in Britain to start the one-year countdown to his Invictus Games for wounded, injured and sick military service personnel and veterans, in host city Birmingham.
Harry is believed to have been in his home country for about a week.
It is not known how long the duchess and the children were there. Nor did they make any public appearances on the visit.
The 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be presented October 30 at the Hollywood Palladium. They will follow the presentation of the Primetime Emmys on September 14.
