Trump has his worst hair day ever on US television
Late-night TV host Jimmy Fallon has gone boldly where few have gone before _ deep into Donald Trump’s locks.
Trump’s hair has become one of the enigmas of a weird US presidential race, prompting comedian Fallon to ask Trump if he could do something “unpresidential” with the Republican candidate and mess with his mop.
Fallon ruffled Trump’s hair with enthusiasm, leaving the massive comb-over in a mess.
While Trump, 70, had little choice but to endure the segment with a smile, he also accepted thanks from Fallon for providing comedians with so much material.
“You say some shocking things,” Fallon said.
“But I’m trying not to anymore,” Mr Trump replied.
Fallon also christened what he called Mr Trump’s “bromance” with Russian President Vladimir Putin as “Vlump”, and asked him about his penchant for eating fast food.
“At least you know what you’re getting,” Mr Trump said, adding that if he went to an unknown place, “if they don’t like me … I don’t know. I’m better off with fast food”.
Trump’s health has been in the headlines in recent days.
He taped an episode of the Dr Oz show in New York in which he gave host Dr Mehmet Oz a summary of a physical exam conducted last week.
Trump’s campaign has said he will also release more medical information to the public.
The show released a short clip on Wednesday that did not include any medical information.
In it, Trump told Oz he had two letters with him showing results of tests conducted last week.
“May I see them?” Oz, a cardiothoracic surgeon, asked, sitting in a chair next to the New York businessman.
“Yeah, sure,” Trump said, handing over papers he pulled from his jacket pocket.
Trump and Hillary Clinton, 68, the Democrat facing him in the November 8 presidential election, have both promised to release more medical information.
Clinton this week took several days off the campaign trail to recuperate from a bout with pneumonia, after she nearly collapsed on Sunday at a memorial ceremony for the September 11, 2001, attacks.
Previously, Trump’s campaign issued a short letter from his doctor saying he was in excellent health, but without such details as whether he takes any medications.
