Kennerley opens up in $350K interview: reports

Media personality Kerri-Anne Kennerley has reportedly been paid a massive $350,000 for an upcoming interview about her husband’s fight for survival.
Kennerley will discuss her husband of 32 years John Kennerly’s horrific spinal chord injury, after a freak fall at a Coffs Harbour golf course last month left him fighting for his life.

The interview will air on Channel Seven’s Sunday Night this week, and includes shots of John’s Kennerley’s hospital room.
John Kennerley fell hard on his head and broke his C2 and C3 vertebrae in a fall on flat grass in March and attempts to take him off a ventilator have so far been unsuccessful.
According to reports, Kerri-Anne Kennerley was inundated with interview offers right after the accident, but held off until her husband’s condition stabilised.
In a teaser for Sunday night’s interview, Kerri-Anne Kennerley can be seen describing the moment her husband fell.
“It happened so fast … All he could say is ‘I can’t feel anything, I can’t feel anything,'” she said.
She described the ordeal as a “nightmare” she wakes up to everyday, and also revealed her husband had told her “the only reason I’m trying is for you” from his hospital bed at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney.
Only John Kennerley’s hands are shown in the teaser, and it is not known if his face will appear in the full interview.
Reports of a $350,000 payday for the interview have been quoted by a number of news outlets, but have not been confirmed be either Keri-Anne Kennerley’s camp nor Channel Seven.
