Children’s channel Nickelodeon has been forced to pull a cartoon series off the air after one episode featured a topless woman.

Oggy and the Cockroaches, a French animated series, has sparked parental outrage with its inclusion of a busty woman clad only in bikini briefs.

The risque cartoon, which appeared in a March 5 episode of the show, prompted Nickelodeon to pull the series from its sister channel Nicktoons in the United States.

The show has also been removed from Nickelodeon’s US website and schedule.

Parents took to social media to air their grievances under the hashtag ‘Boobgate’, with one parent telling TMZ he was forced to explain the female anatomy to his young son after the episode aired.
