Quickflix posts massive $8.6m half year loss
Quickflix has more than doubled its first half loss ahead of the arrival of major rivals in the Australian market.
The video streaming service made a net loss of $8.6 million for the six months to December 31, more than twice the size of the $4.2 million loss it posted a year earlier.

Quickflix faces stiff competition from the US-created Netflix and Fairfax and Nine’s Stan.
The company had 117,000 paying customers at the end of 2014, which was down five per cent from 123,000 at the end of June.
Quickflix offers current television series like Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead, plus select new release films, for a flat fee of $10 a month, plus extra fees for “premium” content.
