George Clooney makes Downton Abbey debut

The rumours are true; Hollywood hunk George Clooney will be joining the cast of British period drama Downton Abbey.
Speculation has been rife for months after the 56-year-old was seen at Highclere Castle, where the show is filmed, in May.

The American actor will star in a special one-off episode to raise funds for British broadcaster ITV’s Christmas appeal, and will play an American wedding guest at the Crawley family
Clooney has several ties to Downtown Abbey, he has previously admitted to being a fan of the show and recently became good friends with actor Hugh Bonneville who plays Robert Crawley in the drama.
A teaser clip has been released online, with the full episode airing on December 18.
