Channel 10 released a statement confirming 31-year-old real estate agent Blake Garvey decided to end the relationship.
“Network Ten can confirm that Blake and Sam have sadly ended their engagement. When Blake proposed to Sam in South Africa, he did so because he had genuinely fallen in love with her. He was excited to start a life with Sam and was very much looking forward to their future together,” a Network Ten spokesperson said.
“Unfortunately, not all relationships are meant to be, and feelings invariably change. Once Blake returned to his everyday life, he realised that they both wanted different things from a relationship and had different priorities.
“Blake has the greatest love and respect for Sam, but has made the difficult decision to end the relationship.”
Sam posted on Twitter that she in the dark as to why Garvey decided to end the relationship.
People need to stop asking why we broke up. Trust me, I’m just as in the dark as you all are.. Blake is the one calling all the shots here.

As rumours swirled online before the announcement, runner-up, fashion designer Lisa Hyde, denied she is pregnant to Garvey, wishing him and 25-year-old financial consultant Sam Frost all the best on Instagram.
This is the second Australian season of the American matchmaking show, which sees 25 women vie for the love of one handsome bachelor through a series of dates.
Garvey proposed to Frost with a $58,000 sparkler after sending other finalist Hyde packing. Filming on the show wrapped two months ago in South Africa, with Garvey proposing to Frost, telling her he had never been more sure of anything in his life.
Radio station KIIS 1065 claim they have confirmed the couple’s split, with radio host Jackie O allegedly receiving a text from a producer on the show saying Frost was upset with how Garvey acted with other contestants.

Social media sites like Twitter are awash with speculation from celebrities like Chrissie Swan that the pair are already over. Last year’s bachelor Tim Robards and finalist Anna Heinrich are still a couple and are living together in Sydney, but this season looks set to end a little differently.
So my bet is that they have broken up already… #thebachelorau — Chrissie Swan (@ChrissieSwan) October 2, 2014
