Keep reading to see the trend that’s been dominating the red carpet in recent weeks and the transformation of a local star.

Iggy Azalea’s dramatic makeover

Australian rapper Iggy Azalea is known for her hit songs (Fancy, Problem and Trouble to name a few) and her unique brand of hip hop.

But during her appearance at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, all anyone was talking about was her unrecognisable appearance.

The rapper revealed she had a breast augmentation in March, but has clearly since had a number of different facial procedures.

Along with cutting off her long blonde locks, Azalea was sporting what looked to be a new nose and a chin implant.

The look was a far cry from her natural appearance, which landed her magazine covers and a contract with local underwear label Bonds.

While Azalea is yet to officially comment on her makeover (and doesn’t really need to either), she did post an Instagram snap with the caption “Loving my new look”.

If it makes her happy, who are we to judge?

The sunglasses of Cannes

It’s sunny all year long in Cannes, so where better than to showcase your formidable eyewear collection?

Chic sunglasses shield stars from the harsh summer heat as well as the glare of paparazzi flashes.

This Cannes Film Festival, the sunglass selection has been on point.

From Naomi Watts’ cobalt blue cat-eye specs to Parker Posey’s retro rose-coloured glasses, there’s plenty of eye candy in Cannes.

Trend report: pant-dresses a.k.a jumpsuits

What’s red carpet-worthy and comfortable? Not much.

Certainly not this dress worn by Irina Shayk to the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscars after-party:

2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Hosted By Graydon Carter - ArrivalsYikes. If you find yourself invited to a formal event but don’t want to wear what is essentially a giant pair of stockings, there is a solution for you.

Most of Hollywood is currently rocking the jumpsuit. It’s a way of looking dressy without having to worry about windy wardrobe malfunctions or restricted movement.

Here are Cara Delevigne, Taylor Swift, Rachel Weisz and Lake Bell showing us how it’s done:

Just a note: do not attempt to wear a white jumpsuit unless you are Taylor Swift. If you’re unsure, look in the mirror. Do you have a perfect blonde bob, gazelle-like legs, a hair and makeup team and a talent for songwriting? No? Then don’t do it.

Who wore it better?

Speaking of jumpsuits, this striped Balmain one has been fairly popular as of late.

Aside from the fact that it’s a pretty dubious look even on supermodels, who wore it better? Was the winner British model-turned-Mad Max star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley? Or was it Sports Illustrated model Chrissy Teigen?

Have your say below.

Best dressed of the week…

…Goes to Diane Kruger at Cannes. The German actress has fun with fashion but never goes overboard. Every look she’s sported at the Festival so far has been eye-catching but appropriate.
