Australian rock band Spiderbait have promised to find the “creep” who urinated on a female fan at one of their Melbourne shows.

Women say they were horrified after the man relieved himself at the show in February.

“We are so appalled at this awful and disgusting behaviour and that our valued fan Belle has had to endure (this) at one of our shows,” Spiderbait posted on its Facebook page late on Monday.

“This type of behaviour is absolutely not to be tolerated

“We are going to stop at NOTHING to find this creep.”

Belle Nolan, 33, said she thought a drink had been split on her when she felt liquid running down her leg at the band’s February 26 show at a CBD venue.

But, feeling its warmth, she turned around to see a man doing up his fly.

“I was really shocked,” she told 3AW on Tuesday.

“Other people saw what he did so they yelled at him and he just shrugged, smirked and raised his hands like it was not a big deal.”

Shai-lee Kennedy, who was celebrating her mother’s birthday, noticed the man after her mum began yelling and pushing him away.

“My mum continued to yell until the security were alerted and he was vacated from the dance floor,” Ms Kennedy told AAP on Tuesday.

“We left soon after as heaps of young guys behind us kept pushing us and swearing.

“It was such a shame our night was ruined by idiots.”

The venue’s security ejected the man but did not record his details. Victoria Police and Crime Stoppers have now launched a campaign to find him.

Police have released CCTV images of the man they want to question.

Other women are now speaking up about similar incidents where they were treated like a urinal at Australian music shows.

“Same thing happened to us at the Foo Fighters concert at Etihad Stadium on the floor,” Bianca Moresco said on Facebook.
