English boy band One Direction set to take a break

Even a NASA space adventure couldn’t hold together popular tween boy band One Direction.
Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson have announced they will go their separate ways in March and no tour is expected for the group’s fifth album.
The group’s most recent song, Drag Me Down, was filmed at NASA’s Johnson Space Centre with a video released just two days ago.
• The real reason Zayn Malik left One Direction
• One Direction star is ‘going to be a father’
• One Direction star buys English soccer club
But it may not be permanent and could last for just a year, while a future reunion tour may also be on the cards, The Sun has reported.
“The guys have been together for five years, which is an incredible run for any boy band,” a source told The Sun.
“They fully deserve to have at least a year to work on their own projects.
“There is absolutely no bad blood between them and they are all 100 per cent behind the decision.
“It is definitely not a split and they fully intend to get back together at some time in the future.”
The band have said the split is not due to the departure of band member Zayn Malik earlier this year, who left to pursue a life as a “normal 22-year-old” and later announced a solo career.
The group’s fans – known as Directioners – have taken to the internet to debate the meaning of “taking a break” in the wake of the announcement.
