Injured Silverchair star carted to hospital
Former Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns was last night admitted to hospital on a stretcher after a fall outside a Sydney cocktail bar.
Johns had reportedly been drinking with friends at bar Low 302 in Surry Hills. It’s understood he tripped and hit his head.

He was attended to by a doctor and paramedics, placed in a neck brace and loaded on a stretcher.
Johns, 36, who was with his fashion blogger girlfriend Estelita Huijer, was taken to nearby St Vincent’s Hospital.
Some reports have suggested Huijer, Johns’ girlfriend of two years, stuck her finger up while sitting in the passenger seat of the ambulance as it departed for the hospital.
A spokesman for St Vincent’s Hospital said Johns was released in the early hours of Saturday morning and that injuries were minor.
Johns’ debut solo album Talk will be released on May 22. He will perform songs from Talk at the Sydney Opera House on May 28 and 29.
In February, Johns was convicted of mid-range drink driving in Newcastle Local Court. He received an $880 fine and disqualified from driving until June.
