Mick Jagger illness forces Rolling Stones to cancel
Ageing rockers The Rolling Stones have been forced to cancel their concert at Hanging Rock in Victoria after lead singer Mick Jagger developed a throat infection.
According to a statement on the Frontier Touring website, Jagger is on strict doctors orders to rest his vocal chords for the next few days to be able to continue their Australian and New Zealand tour.

“The Rolling Stones are incredibly disappointed to cancel the Hanging Rock gig and to disappoint their fans but were left with no other option,” a spokesperson said.
The band is currently in Melbourne and were due to perform at Hanging Rock, an hour outside of Melbourne, on Saturday night before travelling to Sydney next week.
The long-anticipated Australian tour has been a tumultuous for the rock stars, who had to cancel the original tour in March after Jagger’s girlfriend, fashion designer L’Wren Scott, committed suicide.
Ticketmaster confirmed people with tickets for Saturday night’s show will receive a full refund.
