Lorde at ARIAs

New Zealand singer Lorde will perform at the ARIA awards later this week.

The 17-year-old new Zealander, whose single Royals catapulted her to international fame, will perform her latest single Team at the ceremony celebrating achievement in the Australian music industry.

The young singer has come a long way from suburban New Zealand, becoming the first female to top Billboard’s alternative charts since 1996 and counting Taylor Swift and David Bowie among her celebrity acquaintances.

Tickets to the awards show have already sold out and lucky patrons will no doubt be ecstatic to hear that they will receive a special performance from the person Time Magazine named “Most Influential Teen of 2013.”

The awards will be Lorde’s first ever Australian television performance and you can watch it live on GO! from 7.30pm.

For an in-person glimpse of the starlet, Sydney-siders can head to The Star casino on Sunday, December 1st for the “black carpet” arrivals from 3.00pm.
