To the ever-growing legion of fans who include 1990’s Home Alone as one of their Christmas-movie musts, the McCallister children never grow old.

This week they proved that is not the case when five of the former-child stars reunited for the first time in 30 years – with one notable exception.

While there are six films in the Home Alone series, it is the first two that include the same cast.

This week, Devin Ratray, Kristen Minter, Michael Maronna, Angela Goethals and Jed Cohen reunited at Pandora’s Box Toys & Collectibles in New Jersey for a meet and greet.

The only McCallister child missing was Macauley Culkin, who played the lead Kevin – the youngest son who gets left home alone while his family goes on vacation – in the first two movies.

Ratray, 47, played eldest brother Buzz. Minter, 59, played cousin Heather. Maronna, 47, played brother Jeff and Goethals, 47, played sister Linnie. Cohen, 48, rounded out the group as cousin Rod. 

In photos shared online, the five posed with each other and with fans, with the store promoting their milestone reunion – “This was the first time they had all been together in over 30 years!”

In an interview in 2021, Ratray told People Magazine that he continued to share a bond with his Home Alone co-stars and predicted a reunion.

“They have been planning a reunion online and I just recently, as in a couple of days ago, got on their messenger chat thread, and I have been trying to keep up with Jed Cohen and Diana [Rein] and Terrie [Snell] and Angela Goethals and Hillary Wolf,” he said. 

In that interview, Ratray said Home Alone had become legacy that had affected families for multiple generations.

“Parents are showing children, children are showing grandchildren something that I was a part of,” he said.

“I don’t know what life has been like without Home Alone, since I just turned 13.”

Culkin is now 44 and engaged to actor Brenda Song, with whom he shares two sons.

In an interview with E! News this week, Culkin revealed his three-year-old Dakota Song Culkin believes he is actually Kevin McCallister in real life.

“He thinks he’s Kevin,” he said referring to Dakota.

“I’m like, ‘Do you remember going down that down the stairs on the sled?’. He’s like, ‘Mmhmm, yep. Sure do’,” Culkin said.

Schitts Creek star Catherine O’Hara played the mother in the initial movies.

Culkin was moved to tears during an emotional reunion with O’Hara last year at a ceremony to unveil his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In an emotional speech, O’Hara reflected on watching Culkin become an international star at the age of just 10.

“Home Alone was, is, and always will be a beloved global sensation,” she said.
