Harrison Ford’s big night

Veteran actor Harrison Ford was very emotional at the premiere of his latest film, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

It’s the fifth and final Indiana Jones film, and Ford was seen with tears in his eyes as the crowd applauded him at Cannes.

Prize winning speech

At the BAFTA’s, Siobhán McSweeney gave a speech just as good as her performance in Derry Girls, the role that cinched her win.

Bad Blood (Taylor’s version)

During her performance in Philadelphia, Taylor Swift yelled at a security guard who was allegedly harassing a group of concert-goers.

Swift told the security guard to leave her fans alone during her song, Bad Blood. The security guard was escorted out and the harassed group were given tickets to the following night’s show.

Setting the Pies on fire

Before Collingwood triumphed over GWS on Mother’s Day, Beau McCreery’s mum, Julie, gave the team an inspiring pep-talk.

F1 cancelled due to floods

This week, the Emilia Romagna Formula One Grand Prix at Imola was called off due to catastrophic flooding.

The heavy rain amid a drought in northern Italy led to thousands of people being evacuated and multiple deaths.

Shark attacks kayak

A man fishing in Hawaii captured this footage of a shark attacking his kayak.

The shark is seen slamming into Scott Haraguchi’s kayak. Luckily, he was not harmed in the incident, but was shaken up, KITV4 reported.

Unbearably cute

There’s little context to this video, but it is too sweet to omit. A bear cub gets a gentle spray of water, and the cuteness factor registers extreme.

Welcome return for platypus

This week, University of NSW scientists reintroduced platypuses to the Royal National Park.

Platypuses can now roam through the national park for the first time in 50 years, thanks to conservation efforts.

Emus on the run

Motorists travelling down the Great Alpine Road near Mount Hotham got stuck behind a group of emus.

When one of the emus slipped on the icy road, another one stumbled. However, all of the emus managed to get up quick and resume their run.

Watch out for those utensils

A cat named Augustus learned an important lesson this week: Don’t climb up on the kitchen counter.

Somehow, Augustus got caught in a potato masher and an escape eluded him.
