Bindi Irwin has honoured her father in a touching Father’s Day message, the day before the 11th anniversary of his death.
The celebrity conservationist, 19, took to social media on Sunday to remember ‘Crocodile Hunter’ Steve Irwin, sharing an adorable video of her dad cradling her as a three-year-old while they filmed a documentary.
“Call action,” Irwin whispered into Bindi’s ear.
“And, action,” she yelled out.
“One of the greatest honours while we’re on this movie shoot is working with my daughter and the wildlife that’s around here,” Irwin said in the video.
Bindi posted a touching tribute alongside the video.
“Remembering these days. This is a three-year-old Bindi helping out with Dad’s documentary filming,” she said.
“Life is always changing and evolving and I’ll always be thankful that I learned so much from my dad.
“He taught me to treat every being on Earth the way you would wish to be treated. From the tiny ants to the enormous elephants. We are all connected and must respect each other to live in true harmony.

“I’ll forever be thankful to have had these values passed on to me. Happy Australian Father’s Day.”
Bindi’s Instagram post was liked more than 110,000 times on Sunday.
Irwin was 44 when he was killed on September 4 in 2006, when a stingray barb pierced his chest while filming a documentary.
Bindi’s mother Terri and brother Robert, 13, have continued his work with Wildlife Warriors charity and the Australia Zoo.
Terri remembered her late husband on Father’s Day.
“Your dad’s love continues @BindiIrwin. I see it every day in your kindness and compassion for every living being. You and Robert make him proud,” she wrote on Twitter.
“This Australian Father’s Day, I can’t help but think how much Robert is like his dad. I’m so proud that Steve’s passion is carrying on.”
The New Daily has contacted Australia Zoo for comment.
