Amal Clooney has made a stunning return to the red carpet for the first time since giving birth to twins with hubby George.
The Clooneys arrived by speedboat for the premiere of George’s Suburbicon at the 74th Venice Film Festival.
Amal floored the star-studded event in a lilac Versace gown, just 12 weeks after the arrival of twins Alexander and Ella.
The 39-year-old human rights lawyer and her husband of three years have been raising the twins in Italy at Lake Como, and in England’s Berkshire.
On Friday, 56-year-old George told Entertainment Tonight about life as a father and his adorable twins.

“They start out with a personality right off the bat,” he said.
“[Alexander] is a thug already. You saw him,” he gestured to Suburbicon actor and friend Matt Damon. “He’s a moose. Literally, he just sits and he eats.”
Damon said: “He looks like he could bounce right now, some place in Hollywood.”
Clooney continued: “Like, checking IDs on the way into the nursery.”
The actor and director said Ella was “very elegant, and all eyes”.
“She looks like Amal, thank god.”
Amal’s after-party outfit proved just as eye-catching.
Celebrity makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury shared a photo of the outfit comprising a tiered, brightly-coloured one-shoulder minidress and metallic pumps.

Speaking of Suburbicon on Saturday, Clooney said the United States needed to confront its racism.
“There’s a dark cloud hanging over our country right now,” he said.
“A lot of us are angry, angry at ourselves, angry at the way the country is going, angry at the way the world is going.”
Clooney, a staunch critic of President Donald Trump, made the comments while presenting Suburbicon, which deals with racism and conformism in 1950s America.
It is a dark comedy starring Damon and Julianne Moore, based on an old script by the Coen brothers.
Clooney directed, co-produced and co-wrote the film with the Coen brothers.
He said he was drawn to it after watching Trump’s speeches “about building fences and scapegoating minorities”.
However, he said it was not about Trump.
“This is a movie about our coming to terms with the idea that we have never addressed our issues with race fully,” he said.
“We’ve still got a lot of work to do, from our original sin of slavery and racism.”
He said people in the US need to re-evaluate how they talk about their shared history, adding that he could not believe there were still people attached to the Confederate flag, a symbol of slavery.
