Jennifer Lawrence has revealed she is no longer single, confirming her relationship with 48-year-old director Darren Aronofsky in a candid new interview with US Vogue.
The 26-year-old Oscar winner has been dating the acclaimed director for a year. They met on the set of upcoming horror film Mother!, which Lawrence stars in and Aronofsky directs.
Lawrence said she and Aronofsky “had energy” on the film’s set, but only got together after filming wrapped.
“I had energy for him. I don’t know how he felt about me,” she joked in the interview with Vogue for its much anticipated September issue.
Lawrence said the Harvard-educated Aronofsky, who is best known for directing 2000’s Requiem for a Dream and 2010’s Black Swan, was not like other men she’s dated.
“I normally don’t like Harvard people, because they can’t go two minutes without mentioning that they went to Harvard. He’s not like that,” she explained.
“I’ve been in relationships before where I am just confused. And I’m never confused with him.”

Aronofsky has one son with his ex-partner, actress Rachel Weisz, and Lawrence told the magazine he was an “amazing father” – and an even better director.
“When I saw the movie [Mother!], I was reminded all over again how brilliant he is,” she said.
“For the past year, I’ve been dealing with him as just a human.”
Aronofsky was similarly glowing in his praise of his movie-star girlfriend.

“It’s such a raw, natural talent she has. I always kind of compare her to Michael Jordan,” he said.
However, Lawrence revealed he cannot abide her love of reality television shows like Keeping up with the Kardashians and The Real Housewives.
“He just finds it so vastly disappointing,” she said.
Mother!, which Aronofsky wrote and directed, is shrouded in secrecy, aside from its gripping and violent trailers.
Also starring Javier Bardem, Michelle Pfeiffer and Ed Harris, Mother! sees Lawrence play one half of a couple living in a large, remote house.
Their relationship is placed under pressure when the husband (played by Bardem) welcomes uninvited strangers into their home.
Lawrence is forbidden from revealing any further details of the plot.
“The themes are just huge,” Lawrence told Vogue. “They’re … I can’t use the word I want to use, but the movie is unique.”
