Halle Berry’s bizarre pregnancy denial
Halle Berry befuddled fans and media with a recent public appearance during which she appeared to cradle a burgeoning baby bump, before denying rumours she was expecting.
The actress sparked speculation she was expecting when she took to the red carpet at the Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in Los Angeles at the weekend, giving cameras the universally-recognised mum-to-be pose.
Wearing a tight-fitting sequinned silver gown, the 50-year-old star cradled her belly and pushed out her hips to emphasise her stomach.

But the actress responded by taking to social media and implying she’d simply had a big meal.
“Can a girl have some steak and fries?” she posted to her 1.6 million Instagram followers on Tuesday.
Berry is no stranger to the pregnancy pose, having employed it on the cover of Instyle magazine’s February 2008 issue.
Berry is already mother to two children, Nahla – her nine-year-old daughter with Canadian model Gabriel Aubry – and Maceo – her three-year-old son with French actor Olivier Martinez.
The same pose was also used by music super star Beyonce in her much-mimicked February pregnancy announcement.
