Adele’s boyfriend pulls crazy anniversary stunt
The boyfriend of British music megastar Adele has made a dramatic gesture to commemorate his fifth anniversary with the singer – and it’s making men everywhere look inadequate.
Adele was performing at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 16 when her partner Simon Konecki surprised her with a romantic gesture worthy of a Hollywood rom-com.
Adele, née Adele Adkins, and Konecki, 42, have been together since 2011 and have a three-year-old son, Angelo, together.

To pay tribute to his talented longtime love, Konecki decided to literally shower Adele, 28, with love notes during her Nashville performance.
Typically, Adele ends each concert on her global Adele Live tour by dropping white confetti on the audience. Typically, the confetti features handwritten lyrics from Adele’s many hit songs, like Rolling in the Deep and When We Were Young.
This time, however, Konecki replaced the usual confetti with pink confetti, with every single piece featuring handwritten love notes like ‘I love you’, ‘Love you longtime’, ‘You are an angel’ and, of course, ‘Happy anniversary’.
Fans of the singer shared photos of the heartfelt gesture on social media and Konecki’s stunt quickly went viral online.

The grand gesture was out of character for the couple, who are usually incredibly private about their relationship.
Given the sheer amount of confetti released in Nashville, we’re hoping Konecki had some help from a photocopier, otherwise his writing hand is at serious risk of repetitive strain injury.
Based on previous interviews Adele has given about Konecki, who is the CEO of clean water charity Drop4Drop, the feeling is mutual.
“Being in such an amazing relationship with someone that’s so there for me and so loyal and is really part of my core now, that’s what made me write about everything I’ve ever done, because I’ve got his love,” she told 60 Minutes host Liz Hayes in 2015.
“I know that sounds a bit like I’m trying to write a Hollywood movie but it’s only because of him and because of our kid and stuff that I’m all right.”
