Pippa Middleton caught the world’s attention when she played bridesmaid at the royal wedding of her sister Kate and Prince William, the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge.

It seems Kate, 34 may soon be returning the favour with reports her younger sister, 32, is engaged to her boyfriend James Matthews.

Daily Mail royals reporter Richard Kay broke the news on Tuesday that Matthews, 40, had “popped the question” to the younger Middleton sister after one year of dating.

The pair are reportedly planning to hold the wedding in 2017, six years after Middleton’s appearance at Westminster Abbey made her the most famous bridesmaid in the world.

Middleton is more than equipped to handle the proceedings, with a lengthy career as a party-planner under her belt.

Her husband-to-be, on the other hand, is a wealthy, Eton College-educated hedge fund manager who runs London-based firm Eden Rock Capital Management.

Middleton and Matthews were first rumoured to be dating in 2012 before splitting. They later reunited after the conclusion of Middleton’s three-year relationship with stockbroker Nico Jackson.
