In a rare interview, the notoriously private adopted daughter of Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise has rejected rumours she has a strained relationships with her famous folks.

Speaking to New Idea magazine, Bella Cruise, 23, said she’s still in contact with her mother and father despite speculation her loyalty to Cruise and the Church of Scientology had created distance between her and Nicole.

“Of course [we talk], they’re my parents,” she said, adding that anyone saying otherwise is “full of s**t”.

The rumours resurfaced late last year when Bella, whom Tom and Nicole adopted in 1992, married IT consultant Max Parker in a private London ceremony. Neither of her parents were in attendance.

Although Bella and her adopted brother Connor, 21, have remained close, she hasn’t been photographed with either of her celebrity parents in years.

While Bella told the magazine her relationship with her parents was solid, New Idea reported that she and her husband have refused to accept financial help from her wealthy parents.

Asked if Bella had actively avoided associating with her parents’ lavish lifestyles, Max said: “Yeah, you could say that. It’s more [of a] weird [situation] for everyone else.”

Nicole and Tom divorced in 2001 after an 11-year marriage.

Bella, who is a trained makeup artist, said she and Max had no immediate plans to start a family of their own.

“I’m 23, so we’ll see. I’m still a baby myself!” she said.

Like her father, Bella has remained a member of the Church of Scientology, although her new husband reportedly isn’t a member.
