Kerri-Anne Kennerley’s husband in coma

John Kennerley, the husband of television personality Kerri-Anne Kennerley, has been placed in an induced coma in a Sydney hospital after suffering a fall.

The businessman was taking photos with Ms Kennerley at Bonville Golf Resort in Coffs Harbour on Sunday when he fell over a hedge and hit his head.

“He stepped back to lean against a hedge which they thought was against a fence but there wasn’t one and he has gone over and landed very hard on his head,” Ms Kennerley’s manager Sean Anderson told Fairfax Media.

“I don’t want to go into the specifics but it is very, very serious.”

Mr Kennerley was rushed to hospital in Coffs Harbour before being airlifted to Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital where he remains in the Intensive Care Unit and is receiving specialist treatment.

Ms Kennerley has reportedly been by his side ever since.

The couple married in a lavish ceremony at the Sydney Opera House in 1984. They have no children together.
