Michelle Bridges: I was sexually assaulted at 18
Celebrity fitness guru Michelle Bridges has opened up about a sexual assault that happened when she was 18.
Speaking on a Mamamia podcast, the longtime Biggest Loser trainer described fighting off an attacker when she applied for a job in a nightclub.
“The thing that kept coming into my mind was that I just kept saying to myself, ‘This is not going to happen. This is not going to happen,'” she said.

“I was adamant to put up the best fight possible.”
Bridges said she escaped and ran to a nearby police station to report the incident and the attacker was later jailed.
In court, Bridges said she was asked what she was wearing at the time, the implication being she may have ‘provoked’ an attack with her clothing.
“I was 18, it was 1988,” she said.
To cope with the traumatic experience, Bridges said she took part in a few therapy sessions before deciding it was too expensive.
‘I’m going to have to work this out for myself,” she recalled thinking.
Bridges, who is married to fellow Biggest Loser trainer Steve Willis (AKA The Commando), has had enormous success with her Michelle Bridges 12 Week Body Transformation – a paid weight loss and fitness program.
Willis and Bridges recently welcomed a baby boy named Axel.
