Case on Johnny Depp’s dogs adjourned in Qld
The actress wife of Johnny Depp, Amber Heard, who is facing charges under Australia’s Quarantine Act for allegedly bringing her dogs Pistol and Boo into the country illegally, has had her case adjourned.
The Yorkshire terriers were brought into the country aboard the couple’s private jet in May.
Depp was filming the latest edition of the Pirates of the Caribbean on the Gold Coast when the incident occurred.

Heard, who returned to the United States after the controversy, was excused from appearing in the Southport Magistrates’ Court, in Queensland, on Monday.

Her lawyer Paula Morreau requested a two-week adjournment to hold “further discussions” with prosecutors.
The case was adjourned until November 16.
Heard faces three charges under the Australian Quarantine Act – two counts of illegal importation of an animal and one count of producing a false document.
Penalties of up to 10 years’ imprisonment and fines of up to $100,000 apply.
The case attracted worldwide headlines after Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce threatened to euthanase Pistol and Boo unless they were taken out of the country.
