Rob Kardashian ‘offered Lamar Odom his kidney’

The youngest Kardashian sibling, Rob, has offered to donate an organ to Lamar Odom who is recovering from a “near-fatal” drug overdose two weeks ago.

Odom, a former NBA player, previously married to Kardashian’s older sister Khloe, was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel in early October.

He has spent the past two weeks in hospital and reportedly suffered multiple strokes, pneumonia and kidney failure, according to People.

An unnamed source claimed Rob was “willing to do whatever it takes” to help Odom.

“If that means donating a kidney then so be it, Rob has a big heart and he’s willing to step up to help his friend,” the source told Daily Mail Online.

The former Los Angeles Lakers player was allegedly discovered unconscious in his room at Dennis Hof’s Love Ranch South on October 13.

The brothel said workers saw him drink alcohol and take supplements sold as “herbal Viagra”.

People reported a source “close to the Kardashian family” said Odom was “responsive, but very slow” and currently undergoing dialysis treatment at a hospital in Los Angeles.

“It’s two steps forward, then a step back, but it does feel like some progress is being made, little by little. There’s still a black cloud, like: ‘okay, what’s next?’,” the source said.

“The pneumonia was a huge setback, and now there’s worry about permanent scarring of the lungs. His kidneys are still not functioning correctly, but he’s nowhere near strong enough to even think of a transplant, so he’s on dialysis.

“But everyone knows that he’ll never be the same as he was before this happened. There will always be lasting effects, and doctors are just trying to minimise them.”

Rob posted a message of support to Odom earlier this week.
